DP Chip: I recently fitted a DP Chip to my 3.0 Turbo Diesel Nissan Patrol which has always been a good to me, however with increasing Diesel prices at the pumps I started to look for something that would give me better economy. I discovered the DP Chip and had it fitted to my Patrol. I was a little skeptical at first till I had it fitted. They claim 35% power increase and 10% better fuel economy I would vouch for that.
Makita 446L Dust Extraction System: This vac really impressed me. It’s a low maintenance and versatile product. Firstly, I like the design because of it’s high impact polycarbon shell which makes it so lightweight and robust, perfect for taking onto the construction site.
Makita LS 0714 190mm Slide Compund Saw: A very compact droppy, ideally suited to your finishing like fit-out and flooring. Once again, it has a smooth sliding action due to the linear bearing system and in this little beauty’s case, there are two slide arms. The arms move in two stages and each can be individually locked off, but when used together combine to achieve a huge 300mm width of cut! Not half bad for a 190mm saw.
Hitachi Demolition Hammer H65SB2: This is a tool that years ago Hitachi set a benchmark in. It has recently been updated to fit into Hitachi’s new corporate look which has also had practical advantages in terms of better materials for shock absorption. After extended use of this type of tool, it is quite necessary to have shock absorption - shock is what these things are all about. With 42 joules per blow, this is a HEAVY hitter. She weighs in at 16.5 kg, which is the standard for this class of demo hammer.
Hitachi 216mm SCMS C8FSE (H1): Hitachi has now released its new model C8 and what a beauty it is! For a start, it weighs in at a paltry 14 kg, great for lugging up and down stairs, or simply to the truck and back. It features an excellent guard which is a quantum improvement over the old one. Its direct drive motor reaches top speed in an instant and even better, it features a brake.
Hilti TE70-ATC Combi Hammer:The Hilti brand has long been revered as one of the top of the line of power tools for tradies. The TE 70 –ATC has certainly lived up to this reputation. It has plenty of power to drill & hammer all day, as you don’t have to push hard against the surface to get the work done. This is one of their larger machines. It is well-balanced, and its low vibration kept fatigue to a minimum. Tool changing is a breeze; simply pull back on the release ring, and you can swap from drills to chisels in seconds. In hammer mode, it’s easy to unlock the spindle to change the angle of chisel face to suit your work position.
Hilti ED 3500 Combo: This cordless tool for applying chemical anchor adhesive has to be one of the easiest around. A simple, no mess loading system. The delivery control system can be set for either a manually controlled amount for large and deeper holes or a smaller timed delivery amount for smaller jobs. It is supplied with 2 rechargeable batteries so it can be used all day long if needed.
