KOMATSU SK820 Turbo Skid Steer: The truth is, this machine has power to burn. Komatsu’s SK820 turbo skid steer makes light work of anything put in front of it. With a safe working load of 870kg, this little beauty gets a great payload every time the bucket bites. Add the two speed gearbox and a whistling turbo and you now have a tool with anger issues. I noticed that the more of a beating it took, the more it wanted.

Kubota U15HG Trailer Mounted: The first thing you will notice about the new Kubota mini excavator is how small and compact it is, specifically designed for tight areas. With easy access onto this machine, up I got, and the seat felt comfortable as it has its own suspension with a high back. The controls are all at your fingertips for easy operation. On starting this machine, I was pleasantly surprised on how quiet it is. The engine offers low noise and vibration levels, exceptional fuel efficiency, and complies with the EPA’s 2008 emissions regulations. Although this machine was built small, there is still plenty of room for your feet. When I started digging a trench, I found that all operating controls were smooth and responsive with plenty of power for such a small machine.

New Holland L170: They call this little number the “Super Boom” vertical lift. New Holland pioneered the concept and put it into production in the 1980s.  As the loader is raised, the bucket does not come back over your head as many loaders do. Instead, the “Super Boom” loader linkage moves the bucket initially forward and then holds a vertical plane as the loader is raised.  Most manufacturers now offer vertical lift versions. The difference is that the New Holland was designed with the vertical lift from day one, rather than grafting a vertical lift design onto an existing machine. This machine also produces a lower centre of gravity as the hydraulic oil and fuel are held down below in the chassis. This allows for a high ground speed which improves cycle times in many applications.

VOLVO L20B: When I first looked at this machine, the Volvo L20B, I could not help thinking this report wasn’t going to take long. Maybe it was the size of it or because I am now aware of how the new Volvo engines and Drive Systems work, but once again, I was proven wrong.

The DIGGA Cleaner Angle Broom:Cleaner Angle Broom by Digga gives a new spin on powerful sweeping attachments. This little labour saving device made short work of the materials we put before it.
